Bringing the tourists to tour Singapore's X'mas lightings in town. And then headed off to Gardens by the Bay. Honestly if not for them I wouldn't have been to these places as well. Either cos i'm too busy or cos I've long taken for granted for all these wonderful things that I just think it's always going to be there somehow.
The 2 silly cousins trying to blend into their ''surroundings''. Lol... When you put these 2 of tgt, they
just say the darndest things anyone can imagine.
And so the next day.....
I always saw the restaurant at Pacific Plaza called High Society and didn't really think twice about it till we decided to go check it out a few days back. Honestly, luckily we were given vouchers for dinner that night or i'd really be sorely disappointed. Felt like we were only paying (if we didn't have vouchers) for sitting in a stylish restaurant. To start of with, when we entered, we didn't really feel very welcome after they knew we had vouchers. And the boss was not shy about raising his voice scolding his waitress for not switching off the lights in the middle of the restaurant on the 2nd floor. But that aside, food wasn't worth the price at all. I mean it was ok. It wasn't horrible. But I wouldn't pay for $120 for it. And i'm guessing that was like the cheapest set there cos that was the only thing the voucher was entitled for. Like many other people, I'm all for paying if food is great.
So anyway, the set consists of starters, soup, a main course and dessert. Sounds good right? But somehow it felt like we had to force ourselves to finish it all. I didn't take the pics of much cos it didn't look very good.
Except for the soup and the dessert. I'm not sure why I decided to take them. But all I wanna say
is, if you're going in for the feel of being in a high class restaurant but don't intend to pay too much, then this is the place. However, if you're a foodie, this isn't your stop.
You can see how terrible my dark circles have become cos i've literally been sleeping past 3am for the past couple of days and its taken a toll on me. So if you're like me for work/play, check out my video down below.
And thinking we had time, we went to catch Les Miserable. And for those who think its pronounced the way its spelt, please don't make a fool of yourself like I did. Hahahaha! Its pronounced as ''Leh Miserub''. Anyway as I was saying, the movie is AWESOME! It was so touching and the songs just would get stuck in your head. Especially the barricade songs and castle on the cloud. We ended up downloading it immediately after the show. Hahaha!!
So thereafter, we went to this place called ''KL Friends'' for dinner. Its nothing fanciful but the food was soooo good. I literally had 2 bowls of rice and there after had street side food. What they call ''Lok Lok'', at Kk 碌碌 at Jalan Pelangi. It was my first time having these kinda foods and it was such a surreal experience. Unfortunately I was with too many new friends and their family so I didn't dare to take any pictures. But everyone should go check these 2 places out.
These were just part of what we had straight after dinner and Coffee Bean. Unfortunately we didn't have chance to do massage which was our main aim initially. But its alright. I've brought home more food in my tummy than any other day!
SATISFIED TTM!!!
Luv,
Millie
