jus a thot...

I was just reading an article on charities fighting for a large sum of money for their org, and i'm quite dismayed by the way the providing company did it. I feel that when you are willing to take out a sum of 5 mil, you'd be careful as to how you spend it. Instead of just doing it the crowdsourcing way. It is such a pity that the host company dosen't even put in effort to analyse the charities who are vying for the money anymore. But instead just leave it to popular voting. Plus, it's kinda riduculous to make it a form of competition where only winners for each level who gets promoted to the next, get to let the sum of money they recieve snowball.

Even though it is to a certain extent true that the community will know how much the charity org needs financial aid and thus put in their fair share of getting votes from ppl. But at the end of the day, its just ppl being bias towards certain charity org and assisting them, instead of trying to know in full, who needs what more. Hmm.... I dun agree with this activity cos i dun think it's reali helping those who reali needs it. But oh well... At least some ppl get to have enough for the needy. As for me, i'm gg off to school now! Thank goodness it has stopping raining... =D Tata...
